Understand the uses of the colon and use in own writing to improve fluency.
The Basic Uses of the Colon:
1. A colon is used to introduce a series of items after a full sentence.
Example: We have four destinations: Toronto, Vancouver, and Whitehorse.
2. A colon can be used to introduce a question or a related statement after an independent clause.
Example: Donovan had only one thought: Would he win the race?
3. A colon is used in expresion of time.
Example: 12:30 A.M.
